Holocaust Survivor speaks to HMS students on 11-20

During World War II, Sol Lurie survived six concentration camps from the ages of 11 to 15. For nearly all of his life, Mr. Lurie did not talk about his experiences but finally started doing so 13 years ago. Since then, he has spoken around the country to students in middle school through college, and across many other age groups. At a time when there has been a rise in Neo Nazism, anti-Semitism, and White Supremacy, it is imperative that his story and that of other survivors be passed on from generation to generation. As the next generation, you are the voice of the survivors of Hitler's attempt to eliminate Jews from the face of the earth. You must never forget so that history does not repeat itself.
